Natalia Genta

PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Social Sciences (FCS-UDELAR, Uruguay). She is currently a researcher with full dedication of the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Social Sciences (UDELAR). She is a professor of research methodology and sociology of gender in degree and master. She is a member of the National Research System, initiation level. She is a researcher at the Gender Sociology Research Group. Consultant of several international organizations: OnuMujeres, UNDP, ECLAC

Her lines of research refer to the link between gender and care, gender inequalities in paid work, work-care articulation and female migrations and their link with care. She has investigated about the practices and representations of child care and the configurations of motherhood in today’s societies. Author of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters around these topics.
