Lara Domínguez Araújo holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting (University of Vigo) and a PhD in Translation and Intercultural Studies (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona). She is a sworn translator and interpreter of English, appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, and holds a European Masters in Conference Interpreting (University of Lisbon). She obtained her Master of Research in Translation and Para-translation at the University of Vigo, where she works as a part-time lecturer of interpreting since 2006.
Her research focuses on assessment for learning and conference interpreting education, as it can be read in her articles in national and international journals and books. As a researcher or a trainer, she has taken part in nationally funded research projects, as well as in locally and EU funded multidisciplinary and educational projects. Besides, she has been invited to take part as a speaker in seminars and round tables on formative assessment and as an external trainer to EMCI programs.
