Pedro Martínez Zaragoza vwas born in Almazora (País Valencià). He is currently a PhD student in Physical Chemistry at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, within the MolBioMed research group. He completed a double Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry and Physics at the same university between 2018 and 2023. During this period, he carried out several undergraduate research projects in both computational chemistry and organic electronics.

Afterwards, he pursued the Erasmus Mundus Master’s in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling (2023–2025), where he conducted his Master’s Thesis titled Allosteric Regulation of hALOX12 Catalysis of 14S-HpDHA Epoxidation/Oxygenation Competitive Pathways, under the supervision of Prof. Carles Curutchet (UB) and Prof. Àngels González-Lafont (UAB).

He is currently working on his PhD thesis, focused on the molecular modelling of biochemical systems involved in inflammation and cancer. His research explores computational studies of allosteric regulation mechanisms in enzymes such as hALOX12, which play a key role in inflammatory processes.
