I am a postdoctoral researcher at UAB, Bellaterra (Barcelona), working in the theory group led by Alessio Celi and in close collaboration with the ultracold quantum gases group at ICFO, led by Leticia Tarruell. Here I mainly work on resource efficient reformulations of two-dimensional non-Abelian lattice gauge theories, with the purpose of proposing feasible digital and/or analog quantum simulation schemes for such theories. My other current research projects regard topological properties of three-dimensional materials, higher-order topological phases of matter and two-dimensional extended Bose-Hubbard models.
