Research

PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the UAB (2023), external collaborator of AHCISP in the period 2014-2017 (SGR2014-00891) and member of the research team of the project Cooperación e intervención exterior en Ecuador indigenous: effects socio-environmental, cultural and gender before the new context (MAEC-AECID, Research Grants for and on Development, 2015-16).

Maite Marín graduated in Hispanic Philology in 1997 and in Social and Cultural Anthropology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 1998.

In parallel, he completed postgraduate studies at Bartolomé de las Casas College, Cusco (1997-2000) and Gender and Development studies at the Complutense University of Madrid (2000-2002), with a scholarship from the Instituto de la Mujer and the European Fund.

He has carried out different research (from 1999 -2008) in Ecuador and Mexico around gender, identities and the impacts of development projects.

In 2008, for the Master’s degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​he presented his thesis with an analysis of microcredit projects and their impact on women’s vulnerability under the direction of Verena Stolcke and Victor Bretón.

Over the last few years, she has worked on different research, intervention and dissemination projects in Catalonia with young people and women from Pakistan, Ecuador, Mali, Peru… and has published articles and carried out research on migration.
