Understanding different life trajectories and family situations is key for educators when children who live in foster care (including unaccompanied migrants) and adopted children. This handbook provides useful information and tools for making school a safe place for all children, regardless of their family situation.
Early adversity experiences and wellbeing at school: A training module for (prospective) teachers
This document provides materials for teacher training on issues central to the schooling of children and youth who have experienced early adversity. Its contents include theoretical foundations and evidence-based approaches, but also a range of practical exercises and case studies. Its seven teaching units can be used as a whole or selectively. Visual support for lessons is also provided.
