
Alejandro López Menchón holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Granada (1999), a Diploma in Advanced Studies for the programme ‘Social Welfare: Development and Trends in Complex Societies’ (2002) and a Master’s degree in Opinion Studies: Qualitative and Quantitative Methodology (2005). He has been a researcher at the Andalusian Studies Centre (2004-2006). Since 2006 he has been an associate lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville. At the same time, since 2007 he has been a technician in the evaluation of public employment policies and a full-time worker at the Andalusian Employment Service.
Currently, he is also a member of the teaching team of the Specialisation Diploma in Evaluation of Public Employment Policies (Universitat de Barcelona). His main lines of research and work focus on methodology and techniques of social research in its application to the evaluation of public policies and the area of public safety research. Within these areas he has directed several work projects and published books and research articles.
