The INCASI Living Lab aims to create a collaborative space open to the participation and discussion of the different social agents and citizens, in order to elaborate diagnoses, contribute to informed decision-making, help design public policies and their evaluation, with the objective of reducing socio-economic inequalities.
This section of our website will contain materials with comparative analyses of socio-economic inequalities and public policies using quantitative and qualitative methodologies. It includes the analysis and compilation of good practices related to social inclusion, the evaluation of the impact of social policies, starting with the analysis of their design (the public policy cycle) in different countries, as well as their results. Impact analysis will also be carried out using quasi-experimental statistical techniques, including random assignment, instrumental variables, regression discontinuity design, difference-in-differences and propensity score-matching. The development of protocols for testing inequalities in public bodies and administrations, the preparation of reports analysing different types of inequalities, diagnoses and proposals for innovative public policies and, in this sense, the preparation of simulation reports on the reduction of inequalities. Interactive maps of inequalities will also appear.
