Objetive 1
To understand socio-economic inequalities from a new innovative perspective by proposing a general and multidimensional analysis model: AMOSIT (Analytical Model of Socio-economic Inequalities and Trajectories).
Objetive 2
Considering the AMOSIT model, to build a new multidimensional measure of socio-economic inequality (DYSIC: Dynamics of Socioeconomic Inequality in Comparison) for international comparative analysis between countries and with which to monitor the situation and evolution of inequalities, with 3 variants: DYSIC1 (includes 3 main dimensions: education, occupation and income), DYSIC2 (adds gender dimension) and DYSIC3 (adds dynamic trends).
Objetive 3
Creation of a Living Lab on Socio-economic Inequalities between Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean (INCASI Living Lab) in order to forge international scientific cooperation on socio-economic inequalities to solve present and future challenges and to prepare diagnoses and practical conclusions to inform the design of innovative public policies aimed at addressing situations of socio-economic inequality in collaboration with socio-economic, political and scientific actors. In this sense, the new DYSIC index, recommendations, guidelines and protocols for its application at local, national and international level, both in the public and private spheres, will be developed and disseminated.
Objetive 4
To provide excellent training and supervision. The INCASI project will equip research staff with the skills and expertise to develop a new analytical model of socio-economic inequalities and trajectories and build on the EU’s strength in this strategic field. Researchers will benefit from extensive training in interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral aspects of sociology, economics, political science, social work, labour relations, law, demography, as well as their areas of application for public policy.
