
Jorge Miguel Veizaga Rosales
He obtained a degree in economics at the Universidad Mayor de San Simón, a specialisation in Demographic Analysis at the Latin American Demography Centre, a Masters in Population at the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (Academic Headquarters in Mexico) and a PhD in Development Studies at the Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas (Mexico).
Since 2003, he has been a researcher at the Population Studies Centre of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón. He has also taught several courses, modules and chairs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in public and private universities; teaching subjects related to: statistics, econometrics, quantitative methods, multivariate analysis and, mainly, research design and methodology.
His research experience includes topics related to the environment, living conditions of the population and socio-occupational structures. His research interests include poverty and inequality, social mobility, generations, life course and vulnerabilities.
