Assistant Professor at the department of Sociology; Faculty of Philosophy, History, and Sociology at the University of Havana. Assistant Researcher at the Center for Youth Studies (CESJ). Currently pursuing the Ph.D. Program in Sociology at the University of Havana.

Member of different profesional groups among them: CLACSO-Working Groups “Agrarian work, inequalities and Ruralities” and “Critical studies of rural development”; Inequality and Social Mobility in Latin América Network (DEMOSAL), Latin American Studies Association (LASA), National Network of Labor Studies, National Network Researchers on Youth. She has participated as a researcher, advisor, or consultant in various national and international collaboration projects on the following topics: reduction of gender gaps in rural areas and in the agricultural sector; empowerment and leadership of rural women; social integration of rural youth; rurality and agrarian development. She has been a consultant for the Ministry of Agriculture in Cuba, and for the representation in Cuba of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of The United Nations (FAO) on issues such as rural youth and gender equality. She has more than 40 publications (scientific articles and books), written individually, or as part of a collective of authors.
