
Albert Navarro-Giné, PhD in Public Health and Biomedical Research Methodology, is an associate professor at the Biostatistics Unit of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). His main research area revolves around investigating psychosocial risk exposures in the workplace, examining their origins in work organization and-work management practices, and assessing their impact on the health of workers.
He is a core member of the group of researchers responsible for the validation of the three versions of COPSOQ in Spain, which were carried out through the three psychosocial risk surveys in 2005, 2010 and 2016, as well as the two surveys on working conditions and health during the COVID-19 (COTS). As principal investigator of the research group on Psychosocial Risks, Work Organization and Health at the IUAB (POWAH-UAB) (https://powah.uab.cat), Albert Navarro-Giné coordinates a multidisciplinary team composed of sociologists, epidemiologists, biostatisticians and economists from the faculties of medicine and political science and sociology. Accredited by the Generalitat de Catalunya (2021 SGR 131), POWAH-UAB is an integral part of the Institute of Labour Studies (IET). Albert Navarro-Giné is the co-author of more than seventy articles in JCR-indexed journals and has supervised twelve doctoral dissertations.
