I have a PhD in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the Universidade da Coruña and I am accredited by ANECA as Associate Professor and Private University Professor. I am a member of the Societies in Movement Research Team (ESOMI) at the University of A Coruña, where I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the European project Carewell-TF (PCI2021-121924). I am also a substitute interim lecturer in the Department of Sociology and Communication Sciences at the same university. From 2017 to 2022 I enjoyed an FPU contract, in the framework of which I carried out my PhD thesis “Colombian women in Spain and Brazilian women in Portugal. An intersectional analysis of women’s migrations in the transnational/poscolonial space”. This has received the outstanding qualification Cum laude and has an international mention. So far, I have participated in 6 research projects funded in competitive calls, at European (2), national (2) and regional (2) levels, in which I have developed an applied intersectional qualitative methodology. I have done 5 predoctoral research stays in prestigious international centers, the University of Leeds (UK), the Universidade de São Paulo (Brazil), the National University of Cordoba (Argentina) and the Colegio de la Frontera Norte (Mexico), totaling 11 months abroad, all funded in competitive calls (Aid for short stays FPU; Axudas para estadías predoutorais INDITEX; INCASI Project). To date, I have published, directly related to my doctoral thesis research, two scientific articles as first author in journals of international impact, the journals “Estudos Feministas” and “Migraciones”, both with Scopus Q2 indexation. A third article, as first author has been published in the journal “Cuestiones de Sociología”, indexed in Latindex. A fourth article, of which I am the sole author, has been sent to the journal “Gender, Place and Culture”, indexed in JCR Q1. I have also published from the thesis, two book chapters as sole author in volumes published by Spanish publishers indexed in SPI, with positions 13/105 and 15/96 respectively. At this moment I have two book chapter proposals accepted, one for the “Handbook on Care and Migration”, co-authored, to be published by Edward Elgar Publishing (SPI: 28/258), and the second, as sole author and also of the thesis, for the volume “ReWrite”, to be published by a prestigious publisher yet to be determined. I have also presented the results of my research in numerous international (IMISCOE, ISA, ESA, SIEF, etc.) and national (FES, AGANTRO) congresses and have been invited as speaker in courses and seminars in several universities and research centers (University of Almeria, National Institute of Migration of the Dominican Republic, J.A Bustamante Chair of Migration and Human Rights in COLEF, among others).
