
Professor in the Department of Sociology: Methodology and Theory, Faculty of Political Science and Sociology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. D. in Sociology (UCM) and Master of Arts in Sociology (University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA). She has held various management positions at the Complutense University of Madrid: Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in “Research Methodology in Social Sciences” (2007-2010), Vice-Dean of Graduate Studies and External Practices (2010-2014), and Delegate of the Rector for Lifelong Learning, External Practices and Employability (2015-2019). She has been Vice-President for Institutional and International Relations of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (2014-18) and Vice-President of the University Network for Graduate Studies and Lifelong Learning (2018-2020). She is currently Vice-President of the Academic Council of the Spanish Federation of Sociology.
He has taught various undergraduate and master’s degree subjects related to research methodology and data analysis, although he also has extensive teaching experience in continuing education degrees such as the Master’s Degree in Evaluation of Public Programs and Policies, the Specialist Course in Applied Social Research and Data Analysis of the Center for Sociological Research (CIS), or the Expert in Work Teams and Leadership, which he directs.
His main areas of research are framed in the Sociology of Work and Professions and in the Sociology of Higher Education, addressing the living and working conditions of university students, external internships and dual training, labor market insertion of university graduates and university lifelong learning. He has two six-year research awards and one for knowledge transfer. He is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Colección de Investigación Sociológica de la Federación Española de Sociología – Editorial Síntesis, of the Board of Directors of the Revista de Cuadernos de Relaciones Laborales and of the Editorial Board of the Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas (REIS).
She belongs to the research groups of Employment, Gender and Social Cohesion (EGECO – https://egeco.com.es/) and Digital Culture and Social Movements (www.cibersomosaguas.net) at UCM, and is a member of the Complutense Institute of Sociology for the Study of Contemporary Social Transformations (TRANSOC – https://www.ucm.es/transoc).
