
Professor of the Department of Applied Sociology in the Faculty of Education at the Complutense University of Madrid, where she has been teaching since 2001 (accumulating three five-year teaching periods). His specialty, both teaching and research, is the Sociology of Education. She has three sexenios of research recognized, the last one granted in 2021, and an evaluation of “Excellent” in the teaching section 2015-2018 in the DOCENTIA program (in addition to other “Very positive” and ‘Positive’), which has made her worthy of a “Diploma of Teaching Excellence” in the course 2021-22 recognizing her teaching activity of six years. She has made stays in several foreign universities and research centers, the last one at Princeton University in the USA. He has published in high impact journals such as Journal of Education Policy or Education XXI, Q1 in JCR, or International Studies in Sociology of Education, Q2 in SCOPUS. In addition, he has published in prestigious publishers, according to the SPI index, in the area of Social Sciences such as Peter Lange or CIS. In 2022 he has produced a report on university dropout for the Spanish Ministry of Universities. She is currently co-IP of a National R&D Plan project on university performance and dropout, as well as co-Director of the Research Group on Sociology of Education (GRISE) at UCM.
