
Bárbara Pschunder holds a degree and teaches sociology at the National University of La Plata (UNLP). She is currently a doctoral candidate in the bi-national programme ‘Interdisciplinary Social Studies of Latin America and Europe’ (Universidad Nacional de la Plata, Argentina – Universität Rostock, Germany). She is a doctoral fellow of the UNLP, based at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Social Science Methodology and a DAAD doctoral fellow, based at the Institute of Political Science and Administrative Sciences of the University of Rostock. Her research focus is on migration and labour studies, particularly of the Senegalese community, using the comparative biographical perspective as a methodology. She has published in the journal of Regional and Labour Market Studies of the UNLP and developed outreach projects at this institution targeting the Senegalese community residing in the city of La Plata. In addition, through the national stipend granted by the National Fund for the Arts and the international stipend granted by the International Programme of the German Parliament, she has immersed herself in learning about migratory phenomena in cultural and political spheres.
