He is Professor at the Faculty of Humanities of the Universidad Nacional de La Plata and director of the PhD Programme in Interdisciplinary Social Studies of Europe and Latin America (Universidad Nacional de La Plata and Universität Rostock). He is currently editor of the journal International Sociology (with G. Kessler) and coordinator of the Red Latinoamericana de Metodología de las Ciencias Sociales (redMet). He has directed, co-directed or participated in research projects accredited by scientific agencies and universities in Argentina, Germany, Chile, Mexico and the European Union.
