
Ph.D. in Sustainable Human Development (Universidad Boliviarana de Santiago de Chile), sociologist. Since 1998, Head of the Area of Development Studies at the Centre for Higher University Studies of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón (CESU-UMSS), where she is in charge of the coordination of the Doctoral Programme in Social Studies, Head of the Project: EU Cultural Diplomacy in the Andean Community (winner of the international call of the Jean Monnet Modules of Erasmus +, 2020-2023); Responsible for the project ‘Social violence in times of pandemic in a metropolitan region of Bolivia: the case of Cochabamba’ (winner of the international call of the agency of Universities of the Francophonie (AUF) COVID-19. 2, 2022-2023). Researcher for the international working group on vigilantism, collective action and violence of CLACSO.
She teaches at undergraduate level in the Faculty of Social Sciences (FACSO-UMSS), and at postgraduate level in different units of the Universidad Mayor de San Simón (UMSS) and the Bolivian University System. At the international level, he has given seminars and courses to master’s and doctoral students at the University of Quebec in Montreal (Canada), Université de Lavalle a Quebec (Canada), at the Hadrek Kralové University (Czech Republic), and at the University of Oradea (Romania) (the latter two as part of the Erasmus+ Teaching mobility).
She has published more than 40 articles in scientific journals and books on topics related to: Regional integration processes, Border spaces, Social violence and insecurities, Vigilantism, Citizenship, Cultural diversity and quality of life.
