
Emmanuelle Barozet
Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the University of Chile. Sociologist, graduate of the Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris, Sciences-Po (1994), MA in History and Civilisation (1995) and PhD in Sociology (2002), from the Ecole des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales de Paris, she is dedicated to the area of Latin America and especially Chile, where I live. He specialises in studies of social stratification and inequalities, especially in the middle classes.
She led research projects, such as Fondecyt and associative projects such as the Proyecto Desigualdades (2009-2012), an inter-institutional and interdisciplinary project funded by ANID. I am a senior researcher at the Centre for the Study of Conflict and Social Cohesion (COES, www.coes.cl). She also has experience in university management: postgraduate direction of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Chile (2007-2008), direction of the PhD in Social Sciences (2009-2013) and of the MECESUP project UCH 1108 for the same programme (2012-2014).
