
Professor of the Department of Social Work at the University of Chile. Social Worker from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (1995), Master in Management and Public Policy from the University of Chile (1999), PhD in Human and Social Sciences (2010) from the Universidad Pontificia Comilla de Madrid and PhD in Research Methodology (2015) from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. I study issues of poverty and social exclusion, social policies, trajectory studies and social work research.
For fifteen years I have been leading a research with a longitudinal qualitative approach (IQL) and I have participated in research projects with competitive funds such as Fondecyt and associative projects such as FONDAP and INCASI in its first version. I am an academic with more than a decade of university management experience directing postgraduate programmes (2009-2014, 2018) and a Department (2019-2023). Currently, I am a member of the core of Effective Innovations in Public Policy and I am the director of CISCAL Centre for Research and Public Advocacy for the End of Street Situations in South America.
