
Associate Professor of Sociology at Pablo de Olavide University of Seville. He holds a PhD in Political Science from the Autonomous University of Madrid and a Master’s degree in Social Sciences from the Juan March Institute. His research focuses on political participation and social movements. He has previously taught at the Autonomous University of Madrid and Carlos III University of Madrid, and has been a researcher at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and a Visiting Fellow at Cornell University. He has led and participated in several national and European research projects. He is the author of several books and book chapters and has published in leading international journals. He is also the head of the Andalusian research group PTyP – Politics, Territory and Participation (SEJ499).
