2018. Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) Aston & Warwick are Corporate Members of the ITI, promoting the highest standards in the profession.
2015. Directorate General Translation, European Commission. Aston was a founding member of the European Masters of Translation network, led by the European Commission. I was Aston’s representative between 2010 and 2019. In 2019 I was in charge of submitting Aston’s application for continuation in the network, with a successful outcome.
Anticipating the UK’s withdrawal from the EMT network as a result of Brexit, in 2017 I co-founded the Association of Programmes in Translation and Interpreting in the UK and Ireland (APTIS), with Dr JC Penet (Newcastle University).
