Marta Brescia Zapata is a predoctoral researcher in the Department of Translation, Interpreting and East Asian Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
She is working on subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing and audio description in immersive media, thanks to a scholarship linked to the TRACTION (Opera co-creation for a social transformation) project.
She holds an MA in Audiovisual Translation from UAB.
Her research interests include audiovisual translation and media accessibility, as well as immersive and interactive digital media.
