Xiaochun Zhang is currently working as a research assistant at the University of Vienna, Austria. She was educated at Nanjing Normal University (BA in Applied English), P. R. China, and received her MA in Translation Studies from the University of Edinburgh, United Kingdom. She is now finalizing her PhD at University of Vienna. She has involved in research projects on both national and EU levels. Meanwhile, she lectures Chinese as well as Chinese and English translation. Her research interests lie primarily in audiovisual translation with a specific interest in video games localization. Other areas of interest include language technology and terminology management. She has several publications on game localisation and film subtitling in the context of China. |
