The CEO-UAB offers a support programme for PhD students who have begun postgraduate studies at the UAB in the field of Olympic and sports studies, particularly in the CEO-UAB’s priority research areas.
Through this programme, the CEO-UAB, as a university research centre specialising in Olympic and sports studies, aims to strengthen and enhance collaboration with UAB departments related to Olympism and sport, in order to support postgraduate studies.
The programme is open to all PhD students who have officially registered their research work in a UAB department.
What do we offer?
We offer special conditions for the use of library services, including a temporary workspace, priority access to lending services, and guidance on how to access academic resources.
We facilitate PhD students’ participation in academic events and workshops organised by the centre or by partner institutions.
We provide doctoral students with tools to enable them to connect with international experts in Olympic studies.
We assist doctoral students in obtaining funding for their studies, as well as in accessing scholarships and specialised training courses (such as, for example, the International Olympic Committee scholarship programme and the Postgraduate Session in Olympic Studies of the International Olympic Academy).
What do we ask in return?
PhD students will be considered members of the CEO-UAB research team in their capacity as doctoral students, without implying any type of contractual relationship.
Students must acknowledge their participation in the programme in all publications and conference presentations arising from their research results.
Submit your application
If you wish to submit an application, the process is very straightforward: please send us an application and attach a letter of acceptance from your thesis supervisor. The letter must be addressed to the Director of the Centre.
