Núria Barniol i Beumala (Professor, Catedrática Universidad)

Short Biography: Nuria Barniol received her BS and PhD from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona in Spain in 1987 and 1992 respectively. She has been professor at the UAB at the Electronics Engineering departament since 1993, becoming full professor in 2004. Nowadays she is the leader of the Electronics Circuits and Systems research group of UAB. Her research interests focus upon the combination and integration of new MEMS and NEMS devices into CMOS technologies, looking for system on chips solutions in the field of RF signal processing and sensor applications. She is co-author of more than 250 scientific contributions including articles in international refereed journals and international conferences. She has received the award of the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, for Research Excelence in the area of Technology in 2009.
Arantxa Uranga del Monte

Short Biograph: Arantxa Uranga received the degree in physics and electronics engineering fromValladolid University, Spain, in 1994 and 1996, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain, in 2001. Since 1996, she has been with the Department of Electronics Engineering,Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where she is currently an Associate Professor. Her research interest include the design of CMOS-MEMS/NEMS devices along with Advanced CMOS Design for both biomedical and RF applications.
Francesc Torres Canals

Short Biography: Francesc Torres received the degree in physics and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Universidad de Barcelona, in 1997 and 2001, respectively. His Ph.D. thesis was on magnetic nanoparticles and magnetocaloric effect. He has over eight years of Post-Doctoral experience, involved in quantum computing and magnetoplasmonic devices at the Instituto de Microelectrónica de Madrid IMM-CSIC, and in MEMS devices at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). He is currently an Associate Professor with UAB. His research interest is focused in applications of MEMS and NEMS involved in cooperatively, and in quantum phenomena associated to NEMS devices in particular with Casimir effect.
Eyglis Ledesma

Short Biography: Eyglis Ledesma received the B.Sc. degree in telecommunication and electronic engineering from the Havana University of Technology José Antonio Echeverria, in 2014. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain. Her research interest includes piezoelectric MEMS devices for ultrasonic sensor applications.
Ivan Zamora

Short Biography: received the B.Sc. degree in telecommunication and electronic engineering from the Havana University of Technology José Antonio Echeverria, in 2014. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), Spain. His research interests include high-voltage electronics and low-power sensor interface CMOS circuits. He was a recipient of the PIF Scholarship, in 2017.

Short Biography: JESÚS YÁÑEZ received both the B.Eng. degree in telecommunication and electronics engineering and the M.Sc. degree in Computer engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute, México, in 2008 and 2014 respectively. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. His research interest includes piezoelectric acoustic transducers for ultrasonic sensor applications.

Martín Riverola

Short Biography: Martín Riverola was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1988. He received the Telecom-munication Technical Engineering Diploma degree in electronics systems, and theTelecommunication Engineering degree and the master’s degree in micro and nano-electronics engineering from the Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona, in 2010, 2012,and 2013, respectively, where he is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in electronicsengineering. His research interest is focused on micro- and nanoelectromechanicalsystems (MEMS and NEMS), specifically involved in the integration of new emergingmechanical switching devices into standard CMOS technologies.
Pierre Prache
(PhD student Cotutelle between UAB & CentraleSupelec-Paris-France)
Short Biography: Pierre Prache was born in 1989. He graduated from ENS Cachan in 2014, with a major in applied physics. He received one M.S. degree in high education training from ENS Cachan, France, in 2013, and M.S. degree in nanosciences from Université Paris- Sud, France, in 2014. He is currently a Ph.D. student at Université Paris-Sud, under the joint supervision of J. Juillard and N. Barniol. His research focusses on the design and test of monolithic CMOS-MEMS injection-locked oscillators.
