My research interests include language socialization practices in multilingual communities, bilingual education, the interplay of language policies, language ideologies and linguistic practices in multilingual schools, and the emotional and moral dimension of narrative and identity in multilingual settings. I integrate a critical and ethnographic perspective in my research to further understand the complexities of language, identity and education in the communities I investigate.

I have been Principal Investigator of 3 research projects (2 regional and 1 national sub-project-APINGLO-CLM-). I am Principal Investigator of the UCLM consolidated research group LADIC (Language, Discourse, Interaction and Culture), a research member of the consolidated and interdisciplinary research group MIRCo (Multilingualism, Social Identities, Intercultural Relations and Communication) at UAM and affiliated member of IMEDES-UAM (Instituto Universitario de Investigación sobre Migraciones, Etnicidad y Desarrollo Social).
