XII UNLP Sociology Conference

XII Conference of Sociology of the UNLP. The pre-conferences will be held on Tuesday 3 December from 3pm.

We will begin with the presentation of the Documentary Fund ‘Horacio Pereyra’, from which we seek to reconstruct traces of the history of sociology in our faculty.

At 16.00 hs we will continue with a round table organised together with the international network INCASI (International Network for Comparative Analysis of Social Inequalities), in which we will address research strategies for the comparative analysis of social inequalities between Europe and Latin America.

Finally, at 5.30 pm we will close this Pre-Conference event with a round table co-organised with Mecila (Maria Sibylla Merian Centre Conviviality-Inequality in Latin America) and the PhD in Interdisciplinary Social Studies of Europe and Latin America of the FaHCE-UNLP. There, we will analyse the phenomenon of political polarisation, populism and the emergence of new right-wing movements based on different national cases in Europe and Latin America.
