More than 1,500 academics and economists from over 100 countries have signed an open letter urging global leaders to join an initiative to combat extreme inequality, calling for the establishment of the International Panel on Inequality (IPI) to build scientific consensus and guide policy solutions. Prominent signatories include former US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Nobel laureate Daron Acemoglu, and Thomas Piketty. The principal investigator of INCASI has signed the initiative, backing this global call.
