
Dr. Frank Tros is since 1999 affiliated to the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands (Msc sociology at University of Groningen, 1992; PhD social sciences at Utrecht University, 2000). Frank is senior researcher at AIAS-HSI, an institute for multidisciplinary research and teaching in labour studies at the Law Faculty of the University of Amsterdam. Frank’s occupational field is focused on mostly qualitative research in labour markets, employment relations, and HR/organisational studies. He initiated and coordinated several national and international projects, co-funded by the European Commission. His publications are about the relationships between flexibility and security in labour markets, ‘flexicurity’ policy concepts, (inter)generational issues in labour, institutional and organizational change in collective bargaining, trade unions’ and employers’ power resources and collective actions in industrial relations and welfare states, employee voice and participation in decision-making in companies (among other issues, see publications: Dr. F.H.
