MIRAS researchers Marta Arumí Ribas and Mireia Vargas-Urpí will be the guest editors for the first issue of the Journal of Non-Professional Interpreting and Translation (JoNPIT). The call for papers is open and the deadline for submissions is September 15th 2025.
The Journal of Non-Professional Interpreting and Translation (JoNPIT) aims to promote empirical research and provide a platform for original and innovative studies on the practice of Non-Professional Interpreting and Translation (NPIT). The journal takes a multidisciplinary approach and aims to highlight the variety of factors that underpin the diverse activities associated with NPIT and their impact on society.
This issue will welcome submissions examining the challenges, strategies, and impact of non-professional interpreting in health contexts. The estimated publication date is April 2026.
