The participants in the initiative will reflect collectively on the specific theme of innovation.

On 21 and 22 May, an important international conference titled “Innovation, policies and Reforms of Public Administrations in Europe and Latin America” will take place at the Higher School of Public Administration Sciences (SSSAP) of the University of Calabria, from 13:30 to 18:30 hours. The event is dedicated to the topic of reforms, the main policies adopted by national governments, and innovations from a comparative perspective.

The conference, framed within the Horizon – INCASI 2 project—for which the SSSAP Director is responsible on behalf of Unical and which focuses on the comparative analysis of inequalities in Europe and Latin America—features the participation of Italian professors and experts, as well as those from leading European universities (France, Spain, England, Netherlands) and South American universities (Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, Bolivia, Cuba).

The participants in the initiative will reflect collectively on the specific theme of innovation and organizational change in public administrations, the reforms affecting different countries—with particular attention to the consequences of public policies aimed at effectively combating economic, social, educational, and gender inequalities. This represents a significant occasion that confirms the international vocation of the University of Calabria and the strategic role of the School, not only in higher education but also in the fields of research and public engagement at national and international levels.

Following the institutional greetings, the proceedings will be introduced and moderated by the SSSAP Director, Prof. Vincenzo Fortunato, together with Prof. Pedro López Roldán from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (project leader) and Prof. Sandra Fachelli from the Universidad Pablo de Olavide in Seville.
