PhD in Journalism and Communication, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, UAB, with a research on US TV series, a study that won the II Research on Communication Award by the Catalan Audiovisual Council (CAC).
She is lecturer in the Faculty of Communication Sciences (UAB) and has been Visiting Scholar at the Rühr University (Bochum, Germany) and at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), Brazil, with a postdoctoral grant given by the CAC.
She is a researcher on Audiovisual Narrative, On-Line Journalism, TV Analysis and TV Fiction Interactivity. She has published the books La era del drama en TV (UOCPress, 2010) and Mites en sèrie. Els temes clau de la TV (Trípodos, 2013).
