This project aims to evaluate specific policies for the promotion of Information Society in nine Spanish Regional systems: Andalusia, Aragon, Castile La Mancha, Castile & Leon, Catalonia, Valencia Community, Galicia, Madrid and Basque Country.
This project is based on the results of a previous, subsidized investigation (I+ D Projects by Ministry of Education and Science) for which a metric analysis model was established that presents 24 indicators (Localcom Index) and that was built on three categories (opportunities, infrastructures and uses) and a descriptive model for the study of regional policies on Information and Communication Technologies (PSI Model).
This project, which guarantees continuity with the previous investigation, suggests a specific methodology for evaluation and follow up of public policies and actions aimed to promoting Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in the nine previously mentioned Regional system Communities. It relies on a quantitative and qualitative analysis model, based on internationally accepted criteria (pertinence, effectiveness, coherence, permanence, efficacy, impact and efficiency).
