
Sandra Fachelli
Lecturer in the Department of Sociology at the Universidad Pablo de Olavide. Post-doctorate in Social Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), PhD in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Diploma of Advanced Studies in Sociology and Master in Initiation to Research in Sociology (UAB), Master in Design and Management of Social Policies and Programmes (FLACSO Argentina).
Teaching Coordinator and lecturer of the Master’s Degree in Applied Social Research Techniques (TISA) jointly coordinated by the UAB and the University of Barcelona. She is currently President of the Research Committee CI 06 ‘Inequality and Social Stratification’ of the Spanish Federation of Sociology (FES) and Vice-President of the RC55 ‘Social Indicators’ of the International Sociological Association (ISA).
She is sub-coordinator of the project INCASI2 International Network for Comparative Analysis of Social Inequalities, GA 101130456 of the Horizon Europe programme, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) where 29 organisations participate: 14 European universities from 6 countries (Spain, Italy, France, Netherlands, Finland and Great Britain), 11 Latin American and Caribbean universities from 7 countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil and Mexico), and 4 non-academic organisations (Latinobarómetro, CEPAL, INTAL and LAPOP).
Main research interests: inequality, stratification and social mobility, higher education and labour.
