The TALIS report (Teaching and Learning International Survey, OECD) distinguishes between activities of exchange and coordination—such as the exchange of teaching materials, discussions about the development of the learning of specific students, and working with other teachers to agree on assessment criteria—and activities of professional collaboration—such as participating in activities with different classes and age groups, collaborative professional learning, observing and providing feedback on other teachers’ lessons, and team teaching. These latter four professional collaboration activities are used to organize the contents of this section.
